George Rogers Clark's Powder Run
Several members of the community joined the Friends of Fort Harrod and the Colonel James Harrod Chapter SAR in a commemoration of the Powder Run led by George Rogers Clark (GRC) in 1777. This event started at the GRC memorial at Old Fort Harrod State Park and included a brief discussion of the history and significance of the event, provided by Richard Quire, a member of both organizations coordinating this event. The SAR then provided a musket salute as part of the memorial.
